HELP! for Beatle Fans and Dessert-lovers Too
HELP!, New England’s premier Beatles Tribute, returns on Saturday, June 19 to The Muse at the Gray Goose in Londonderry, New Hampshire. This will be a delicious evening of lively music and sweet treats in a non-smoking, alcohol-free and very festive listening space, where a tempting array of yummy desserts is part of the package.
Some things just keep getting better. The great music of the Beatles is in that category. So is HELP! – the region’s longest-running and greatest (at least, according to their mums) Beatles tribute band, now in its 15th season of performances, delighting all ages at nightspots, festivals and town concerts throughout New England and beyond.
HELP!’s lineup includes two of the original founding members: Mike Rolla on bass and Marc Hertzberg on keyboards and guitar. Chris Hylander, on drums, and Mark Poulin, on guitar, round out the quartet.
Each band member performs songs associated with one of the Fab Four, including some intriguing and seldom-heard archival and novelty material to provide a glimpse into the history of Britain’s most famous band. Sets change regularly, dipping into the huge Beatles catalog and even some of the later, solo music.
HELP! plays all the music live (without recordings), for a faithful reproduction that captures the sound and the enthusiasm that rocked the 1960s. Through a unique combination of authentic vintage equipment and the magic of modern electronics, HELP! brings to life many hits the Beatles themselves performed only in the studio.
The show starts at 8 pm and doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $20; reservations: 603-437-6085. The Muse is located at 2 Young Road off Route 102 in Londonderry, in historic buildings that also house the Gray Goose Village Shoppes. Gray Goose Village features antiques, collectibles, arts and crafts, and is well worth a shopping tour if you’re in the area earlier in the day. Visit www.musegraygoose.com for more information and directions.
The fans – from toddlers to grandparents – as they dance, sing along, sway, and shout, are as much a part of the show as the guys on stage. HELP! really loves this music and this audience – and it shows. Join us at The Muse in Londonderry. It’s going to be a very sweet night.
